We sold this car last year for the owner who had built the car over a number of years with no expense spared. The file of receipts totals over £30.000 for parts only, not labour. There is also a photographic record of the build.
It started with a 2 owner MGC that was striped to a bare shell, then restored and modified to include Sebring rear arches, hand made steel front arches, handmade aluminium works rep valance, aluminium bonnet with intake vent and ram air system (see picture), sebring rear valance, then painted british racing green.
The engine is fully rebuilt lightened and balanced 3.9 V8 rover, stage 2 heads with an offenhuser twin port inlet manifold, holley 390 carburettor and a 12 inch AP competition clutch. It has an IRS rear axle out of a Jaguar XKE with a limited slip dif which has been totaly rebuilt and modified and custom fitted to the car.
The gearbox is a TWR 82mm 5 speed, totally rebuilt with a solid propshaft.
Competition quick steering rack.
The brakes are AP racing cp5200 4 piston calipers, with CP5000 vented discs and custom made alloy mounting bells, E type rear disc brakes.
The car sits on a set of genuine 16" magnesium minilites.
There is a spare boot lid with a boss to take a second spare wheel or to free up boot space.
The interior has a pair of Ridguard black leather bucket seats with full race harnesses
8000 rpm rev counter spa digital gauges including data logging
alpine alarm with remote locking and tracking
There is much much more, it is a well sorted car well known in classic circles and has been built to an exacting standard with no expense spared in its build or maintenance
